Internet is a worldwide of interconnect network that connect systems across the world. The internet has one very simple job, to move information (known as data) from one place from another. However, internet also has good and bad sides. This essay will explore about the advantages and disadvantages of using internet.

First, the advantages of using internet allows us greater communication between people. Consequently, people can stay connected to each other even tough they are far away, it helps people specially to those who has a long distance relationships. Second is provides the entertainment and information trough online news. As a result of this, we can easily update our news trough our phone, tablet or laptop trough the application or website that provides news and entertainment such as kompas.com, Netflix and many others. Third is provide the education such as tutorial in youtube, information from google and e-book. Because of this, many people can easily study and doing their homework trough information that they can access from google by using internet and they can read the book by download it from e-book.

Internet also has a disadvantages for people. First, Social isolation. There is an addiction for everything that pertains to the web and that includes gaming addiction. Therefore, these addictions create both physical as well as mental issues that can lead to health complications. Second is online gambling, it is also includes in social isolation, internet makes gambling increase to worldwide and easily to access. For that reason, it can also lead to addiction and cause the users lose their money until it goes bankrupt. Third, hoax news or fraud, Free content that can be created and disseminated through the Internet also makes the emergence of fraudulent content. As a result of this, Scammers are gaining new opportunities and ways of launching their attacks on their victims. Fraud content such as a contest site, where the Internet user is declared victorious, must first transfer some funds to a particular account, to be able to withdraw the prizes that will be given.
